Product Scan vs. Package Scan

Product Scan is one of most commonly used scan mode
for retailer or distributor. Each product is assigned a
unique barcode. The system calculates the quantity of
the product based upon the number of scan of the same
product code. Product code can be UPC code, or EAN
code, or customer specific designed barcode.
Package Scan is widely used by transportation and
logistics companies.Each item has a unique barcode.
Unlike product scan repeated scan of package barcode
will be discarded.

Audit Scan vs. Non-Audit Scan

WMSimple™ SCAN supports both Audit and Non-Audit
scan. If audit scan, the application will assure the scanned
barcode matches one from the customer provided barcode
list.
